Jardin des Plantes

Only a few blocks from our apartment across the main boundary of the historic center of Montpellier lies one of the most magical gardens. Despite its very simple and direct name--Garden of Plants (is there any other kind?)--the site is incredibly mysterious and romantic. Ruins, secret stairs, hidden lakes and diverse variety of (you guessed it)....plants. Celie is convinced it's where all French flower fairies reside and she might be right. It's certainly where I'd choose to live if I had wings!
