When I was pregnant with Celie, I sat in the modern wing of the New Orleans Art Museum not far from a Kandinsky and said a little prayer, "Please, God, I will love my children no matter what but if there's any way you could help me inspire them to love art, this would really mean the world to me."

And it was this I was reminded of when I saw this, Celie's first work of 2014. And I couldn't help but be reminded that so many of my  hopes have come true.
